Snow Troupe
Gonna need a Susano-o beta soon, if anyone is interested. :)

Ochakai games?
Masaki Jump!
Ever been to an ochakai or ochanomikai and played an awesome game? Heard about one from a friend? Please share!

I know there are some faves that are used again and again, but there are also even neater ones that seem to depend on the seito and her staff’s creativity.

I’m collecting game/activity ideas for the fanmeet in NYC this summer and also *cough* for future fanmeets *coughcough*.

Want to come to Masaki's last ochakai?
Masaki Jump!
Do you want to go to Masaki's last ochakai in Tokyo on August 14th? Please let me know a definite yes or no ASAP (like, by June 2nd), because I am an idiot and the deadline has snuck up on me and staff already hates me for getting all my other forms in majorly late and I still need to find someone to help me with the transfer. But, er, yes, it's 8500 yen. I'll pay 3000 yen out of the 8500 for anyone who wants to go, and you don't have to get the other 4500 to me until the night of the ochakai. Also, my birthday is the 13th, so how sad would it be if I didn't have anyone to drag along with me? (*is shameless*)

Sumire Stained-Glass
Okay, I admit I'm confused. Why is Fuu-chan playing some made-up character? Kirino Toshiaki had a lover Murata Sato in Kyoto and a wife Hisa in Satsuma, right?

This is where I admit everything I know about the Satsuma rebellion I learned from the Atsuhime TV drama.... and they didn't really care about Kirino. XD

May 11th Chicago press conference
Sumire Stained-Glass
Short, high-quality, cut version of the May 11th press conference for Chicago:

Longer, poorer-quality, full version in three parts:
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3 <--- Hilarious. When asked what would be the most important thing to prepare for an overseas performance, Mine Saori is all: ".... English?" And then she begins demanding to know if the younger member speak English well. Put on the spot, Wataru is all: "Um, I can do Chicago maybe?" And Tani, who has been waxing lyrical about how much she loves and travels to NYC is all: "Well, I guess I can get by?" And Zunko cracks her first smile (I seriously think she was nauseous-ill. Either that, or had been replaced by a robot. ノレアクション).

Anna Karenina
Star Troupe
Okaaaaay, resounding silence. Let me try again? Looking for an editor to check spelling, typesetting, etc. for Anna Karenina beta.

This is the era of Acting!Hoshigumi. By which I mean, this is a Bow Workshop of adorable gormless babies (including Tomomin, Marimo, Yuzurun, Makaze, and Kiki) attempting Tolstoy, and it is glorious.

This and That
Moon Troupe
Ahi is publishing a book on cooking with a really ridiculous title (as most cookbooks do have).

NOBUNAGA shugobi is Monday. Eek. I'm not really in the rumor mill anymore, so I'm not sure what people are saying about retirements. I guess we'll find out.

OG Chicago

Two links that I guess I forgot to move over to LJ:

Takarazuka Revue Fans in NYC is being used to organize a lot of things for the OG tour of Chicago in NYS this July.

Post from Carly:

HEY EVERYONE! I’m trying to organize a ticket-based fan party for Chicago, so we all have one definite time/place to meet up and gush to our hearts’ content. I need at the very least a rough headcount before I can get any information.

If you are coming to NYC for Chicago and are interested in attending a brunch party on Sunday morning before the last show, PLEASE ANSWER THIS POLL!

• This is NOT a commitment, but I am trying to get semi-accurate data so please don’t just answer for the heck of it. If you’re around 70% sure you’re coming or more, please answer.
• Please check ALL the boxes you’re comfortable with (for example, if price isn’t a factor for you, check all three)
• Even if you are not coming, I would be extremely grateful for sharing on social media, preferably spread out over time.

I will be collecting answers through most of April and then moving forward.

BEST novel ever?
Masaki Chauvelin
Musumeyaku by Nakayama Kaho
ISBN 978-4-04-103884-0-C0093
Release date: April 27, 2016

Blurb on website: "A lonely, pure-hearted mobster [yakuza] falls in love with a Takarazuka musumeyaku!?

A Takarazuka musumeyaku, and the mob leader Takarazuka fan who watches over her secretly. Although it seems impossible for their lives to intersect, for an instant they quietly cross. A dramatic tale tracing their lives over ten years as they grow up a musumeyaku and a mobster."

True facts. This is the second book in a series. The first one, "Otokoyaku," sounds like it is mostly a weird retelling of the Phantom of the Opera, in which an otokoyaku top star who died in a stage accident 50 years ago has been hanging around protecting the actresses in the Grand Theater. [Problem, the Grand Theater we have now is not the same one that existed 50 years ago.] One of the reviews of the book comments on the truly ridiculous stage names and nick-names, and from what she listed, I have to agree. XD
